About Me
Hi, I'm Anna Kat Napier.
I'm a Southern girl through and through. I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and nearly ten years ago my husband, Joseph, and I made our home just outside Nashville.
I've loved vintage treasures for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I would sit for hours looking through my mom's old scrapbooks, completely captivated by the fashion, cars, homes, and everyday life of the 1950s and '60s. Those glimpses into another era sparked a lifelong appreciation for beautiful things with stories to tell.
That same love for creating beautiful spaces showed up early, too. I was forever rearranging my bedroom, dreaming up new furniture layouts, and imagining how every room could feel a little more welcoming. It wasn't long before I realized interior design wasn't just something I enjoyed—it was what I was meant to do.
More than twenty-five years ago, I earned my degree in Interior Design and began my career with several of Chattanooga's leading design firms before eventually starting my own business. Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping families create homes that are both beautiful and deeply personal.
In 2023, I fulfilled another lifelong dream by opening my first brick-and-mortar shop. It was a place where my love of interior design and vintage collecting came together, filled with carefully curated antiques, vintage finds, and new pieces that complemented one another to create homes that felt intentionally collected rather than perfectly matched.
Those three and a half years were some of the sweetest of my career. More than anything, I treasured the friendships, conversations, and community that grew within those walls. But as life entered a new season, I felt called to slow down, simplify, and be more intentional with my time.
That's how The Nested Bee was born.
Today, I'm transforming a little cottage on our property into a cozy pop-up vintage boutique where I can continue sharing beautiful antiques and timeless home décor in a slower, more personal way. It feels like the perfect next chapter.
While decorating has always been one of my greatest passions, I've come to realize that creating a beautiful home is about so much more than furniture and décor. It's about hospitality.
I love setting a beautiful table, planning seasonal menus, lighting candles, arranging fresh flowers, and creating a home where family and friends instantly feel welcomed. To me, decorating and hostessing go hand in hand. Together, they create the kind of home people never want to leave.
Now that I'm spending more time at home, I'm also enjoying another dream—growing a cottage garden filled with flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. I look forward to bringing those harvests into my kitchen, where cooking has become another creative outlet. Some of my favorite recipes have been passed down through generations, while others are happy experiments that become new family traditions. I truly believe food nourishes both the body and the soul, and that gathering around a table is one of life's greatest gifts.
As I've entered this season of midlife, I've found myself appreciating the simple things more than ever. A cup of tea on the porch. Fresh flowers from the garden. A thoughtfully arranged room. A meal shared with people you love. These are the moments that make a house feel like home.
Through The Nested Bee, I hope to share everything I've learned over the years—from decorating and vintage collecting to gardening, cooking, and gracious living. But I also hope to learn from you. One of the greatest blessings of my journey has been the incredible community that has formed along the way, and I'm so grateful you're here.
Thank you for joining me.
I hope this becomes a place where we can celebrate beautiful homes, meaningful gatherings, timeless treasures, and all the little things that make life so rich.
Welcome to The Nested Bee. I'm so glad you're here.
